Jason Cordero is an Adelaide based artist with a strong interest in concepts of possession, perception and belonging. His practice is focused on painting and drawing with an increasing utilisation of digital media. Through intense colour, precise draftsmanship and story telling, he creates highly evocative works of art that tend towards the surreal.
‘Landscape has always been subject to interpretation as filtered through cultural experience and bias. Each person’s experience of place is unique, as their influences are overlaid upon the neutral objectivity of the observed. There is no one place, but a multitude, as our stories combine to create something new.’
