Artist's Statement

The Search for Sanity

My exhibition ‘The Search for Sanity’ is how I’ve dealt with the pandemic and the ominous threat of world war. I’ve had to create my own mental and emotional escape, to cope with so many new feelings and problems.

My work overall hasn’t really changed, except for a touch drier humour; my way of dealing with stress. There are a couple of quite unique concepts that I feel have been a result of our current times. In some ways, the exhibition is more about painting during these times, than the paintings.
