One of the greatest of screen actors, Max’s performances mesmerised me as a teenager, never imagining I would one day direct him in a movie. Staying at his Provence farmhouse after ‘Snow Falling On Cedars’, we explored the streets of Seillans, entwined with ancient vines. Vale Max, and thank you.
