Erin Renfrey

Erin is an emerging artist based on Kaurna land, who began her Bachelor of Creative Arts at Flinders University and AC Arts in 2020, graduating in 2023. That same year, she was selected for the Helpmann Graduate Exhibition, receiving the Hill Smith Art Advisory Award and Square Holes Award. She was a finalist for the Parklands Art Prize and has exhibited in SALA and the Adelaide Fringe.

Working primarily with watercolour and gouache, her practice explores magical realism, delving into ideas of inner realms, ecology, and imagination. Through whimsical, playful imagery, she blends elements of reality with the fantastical and asks the viewer to examine societal expectations and our place in the cosmos.

Erin is currently a studio resident at The Mill, Adelaide SA
